A magical excursion to discover the wild orchids in the Simbruini Mountains.
The study of these beautiful flowers has ancient origins; in fact, the different varieties began to be classified in the early 1900s. Orchids prefer humid environments, so much so that the best-known grow in the tropical regions of South America and Africa. The unique ecosystem of the Simbruini Mountains, rich in water and fertile soil, both on the green carpets of mountain meadows and along forest paths, though they appear tiny to our eyes, is exceptionally rare. The advice, therefore, is to exercise great caution and not trample on them or damage them in any way. It is preferable instead to capture their colors through an image, so that you can enjoy their beauty at any time and continue to preserve and safeguard the landscape of our wonderful mountains.
