Partendo dall’area attrezzata del Caiolo, ci addentreremo nella valle per visitare la Necropoli di S. Giuliano, un vero gioiello archeologico. Questo sito unico offre una panoramica completa sull’evoluzione dell’architettura funeraria etrusca: dalle tombe a pozzo e fossa dell’Età del Ferro ai grandi tumuli orientalizzanti, dalle tombe rupestri arcaiche a quelle a dado ellenistiche.
Proseguiremo verso la suggestiva Rocca medievale di S. Giuliano, che domina il parco dall’alto. Qui, tra panorami mozzafiato e una chiesetta romanica situata sulla sua sommità, sarà facile immaginare le storie di un tempo lontano, perfettamente intrecciate con la natura incontaminata che ci circonda.
